Upon showing my mother my blog she asked "Doesn't it bother you that a lot of the girls in the photos you post don't look like you?". She was referring to shots like these, and I can say wholeheartedly, "NO!". I have no problem envisioning myself wearing looks that I like no matter who's modeling them. Do I still think that there needs to be a broader spectrum in fashion? Of course! But for every girl like me who has no limits on what I can pull off (at least in my own mind lol), there are many more who are discouraged by the images they're being bombarded with. So my advice is to see YOURSELF in the photo...no matter how dark, light, big, or small you are. Don't see yourself fitting the mold, see the mold fitting YOU.
