I laughed out loud during the episode of The City when Whitney's line gets torn to shreds by Elle fashion news editor Anne Slowey. On her way out of the room she drops the gem "I've seen all that before. I'm not interested in seeing anything I've seen before from a new designer." So WHY pray tell does this not extend to models? The same 10 girls are shuffled around and declared "new" and "fresh". Oh and if a girl has oddly set eyes, a facial mole, or wonky teeth, she's got an "interesting look".  I guess a different skin-tone is just TOO "interesting" for us.

It's so bad that most of the "top models" are interchangeable. If anything, the standards for white models have gone DOWN because there are so many spots for them. It's beyond a racial issue at this point. For the sake of the ART of fashion photography, something has got to give because it's beyond BORING. I miss the days of stalking the mailbox for glossies at the end of each month. I'd fall in love with each photo story and revisit every day because they were just so glamorous and inspiring. Even magazines I love like V and Elle are largely disappointing because the editorials are so repetitive. Maybe, I'll get a chance to put in my two cents one of these days...HELP!!!

I came home raring to go to order the Tube 2 (bottom). But then I came across of the Denmark (top). Solestruck is clean out and I want to try them on before I commit to the cheaper Tube 2. The Denmark seems like a warmer and more comfy option. BUT this young lady says that her Tube 2's are pretty walkable too (and they look sooooooo yummy on an actual foot)...::le sigh:: decisions, decisions...

To add to the madness, there are two more options. Both the UGG Australia Lynnea  and the Jeffrey Campbell Erikson are lined, but the heels are lower. I really hope that David Z grows a pair and gets all of these styles in stock at once so I can slug it out in person.
