I just watched an amazing documentary on LOGO about a comedian named Keith Price called "Ebony Chunky Love: Bitch Can't Get a Date". Other than it being really good, it got me thinking about why there needs to be separate channels for race or sexuality in the first place. Good TV is good TV, period. Obviously, I
know why but being gay is about so much more than sex! Just like being black is about more than dancing, and sports. I can't proclaim to know what it's like to be gay. But I can imagine that if I were, I'd want people to pay less attention to what I do in the bedroom, and more attention to the fact that I'm a loving, caring,
good person. I'd want them to know that my relationships are made of the same stuff that everyone else's is made of. Hopefully, one day we'll have more examples of functional GLBT, straight, Black, White, Asian, interracial relationships all over the place! That way we can focus on the important things like doing real
good in this world.
